The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has celebrated Napoli star, Victor Osimhen as the 2023 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations gets underway.

In a post on its official Instagram handle, CAF wrote: "Victor Osimhen made a name for himself in the 2015 #TotalEnergiesAFCONU17. The Nigerian forward scored 4 goals to finish as the competition’s top scorer."

The post was accompanied by photos of Osimhen in the tournament.

The Nigerian star has since grown in leaps and bounds and is currently the talisman or his club side, Napoli.

The €71.246 million transfer from Lille to Napoli makes the most expensive African footballer.

The 24-year-old in-demand striker is reportedly favoring a move to German giants Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window.
