Super Eagles duo of Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman has been shortlisted for Serie A player of the month of January.
Osimhen and his Super Eagles compatriot, Lookman delivered a stellar performance for their respective Serie A clubs last month and their efforts have been rewarded.
The Napoli frontman scored 5 goals plus 1 assist in 5 Serie A outings for the league leaders.
The ex-Lille attacker scored in Napoli's wins against Sampdoria, Juventus, Salernitana, and Roma.
As Osimhen was leading the title charge for Luciano Spalletti's side, his fellow countryman, Lookman was also firing from all cylinders for Atalanta.
The 25-year-old also notched 5 goals plus two assists for Gian Piero Gasperini's side last month.
The ex-Leicester City winger scored a back-to-back brace against Salernitana and Juventus.
He also found the back of the as Atalanta beat Sampdoria 2-0 at the Gewiss Stadium in their last game.
Osimhen and Lookman will face competition from Inter's Lautaro Martinez, Roma's Paolo Dybala, and Luis Alberto of Lazio.
