Former Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has reacted to Nigeria's humiliating defeat to Portugal in their last friendly.
The Super Eagles suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat to the Selecao at the Jose Alvalade Stadium in Lisbon on November 17.
A brace from Bruno Fernandes and a goal each from Goncalo Ramos and Joao Mario condemned Jose Peseiro's team to yet another defeat in a friendly game.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Brila FM, Gernot Rohr lamented the Super Eagles poor performance and his disappointment with the outcome of that game.
The 69-year-old Franco-German coach added that he didn't recognise his Super Eagles players with the poor quality of display on that night.
"I watched the game against Portugal in Lisbon. I didn't recognize my players at all. I wasn't happy with how they played and the result.
"I never lost a match 4-0 to any team during my five years as coach."
Rohr was sacked by the Pinnick-led NFF administration on December 12, 2021, after qualifying the Super Eagles for the 2021 Nations Cup.
He was the longest-serving Super Eagles head coach after taking charge of the national team from 2016 to 2021.
