Sadiq Umar was impressive once again for Almeria in their 2-1 victory over Real Oviedo FC in week 2 of Spanish Laliga SmartBank.
Sadiq Umar who was on target against Cartegena last weekend played the entire duration of the match.
Sadiq Umar led Almeria’s attack alongside Largie Ramazani and Jose Carlos Lazo and the trio was superb in the game.
The former AS Roma forward set up Jose Carlos Lazo for the opening goal inside the opening five minutes.
The lead lasted only for 10 minutes as Samuel Obang equalized for the away team in the 15th minute.
However, Lucas Robertson restored Almeria’s lead with an emphatic finish in the 45th minute.
Both teams failed to add more goals in the second half, as Almeria held on for their second victory of the 2021-2022 campaign.
The 2-1 victory over Real Oviedo FC takes Almeria FC to the top of the Spanish Laliga SmartBank League table with 6 points from 2 matches played.
