Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim had a strong message for Manchester United fans and players following their 3-1 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League on Sunday, January 19.

The Portuguese tactician insists that he will not change his style or the way he sets up his team, urging his team to survive the moment.

Amorim has managed just 11 points in 11 Premier League appearances since taking over the reins of the club from Erik ten Hag.

Goals from Yankuba Minteh, Kaoru Mitoma, and Georginio Rutter ensured that Bruno Fernandes’ 23rd-minute spot-kick only counted for a consolation.

“With me, it’s clear I’m not going to change the way I see the game. I’m very clear on that. The players will suffer and the fans are going to suffer. I’m really sorry, I have one way of doing things.

“We need to survive this moment, and it’s very clear for everybody what we are going to do. I’ve explained this situation. I will play the way I play because that was the idea. I was very clear in everything, with the fans, the board, and everybody,” Amorim added.

Manchester United will return to action against Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday, January 23.
