What Ronaldo said after scoring 900th career goal

Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronald has reacted to his latest record in the world of football.

The former Real Madrid legend scored his 900th career goal in Portugal’s 2-1 over Croatia in Lisbon on Thursday, September 5.

The Al Nassr forward tapped in from close range after a pass from Nuno Mendes.

The goal makes him the first player to achieve that feat.

Speaking after the match against Croatia, Cristiano Ronaldo said (via Fabrizio Romano): “900 goals seems like any other milestone, but only I know how hard it is to work every day to score your 900th goal.

“It’s a unique milestone in my career. I don’t break records… they haunt me!”

Lionel Messi is the only player behind Ronaldo, currently on 838 goals for club and country.
