'We won’t sell Lookman in January' - Atalanta Chief D’Amico says

Atalanta director Tony D’Amico has cautioned interested parties that Ademola Lookman and the club’s other top stars will not be sold in January.

The January transfer window opens later this week and La Dea have several stars targeted by Premier League giants including Lookman.

The talented winger is targeted by Arne Slot’s Liverpool.

Reacting to this, D’Amico stated that the Serie A leaders want to maintain a full squad in January.

“Certainly, the January transfer window is a difficult one for all clubs.

"If there are any opportunities, we will go for them, but obviously maintaining the full squad that we currently have at our disposal,” he said.

The 27-year-old provided an assist in Gian Piero Gasperini’s side 1-1 draw with Lazio on Saturday night.

The Nigerian has so far netted 11 times and provided six assists in 20 appearances across all competitions for the UEFA Europa League champions this season.
