Undoubtedly, Ghana endured their worst performance in the last AFCON qualifiers.

The Black Stars were eliminated at the group stage in the 2023 edition (held in 2024) and failed to qualify for the 2025 edition without even securing a single win.

For the 2025 AFCON tournament, the Super Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn in Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania.

Although the Eagles lost the 2024 final to Ivory Coast, some Nigerian football fans believe that Ghana’s absence from the competition this year presents an advantage for the Super Eagles in their quest to win the tournament.

They expressed confidence that the Eagles have the upper hand in their group, which could improve their chances of winning AFCON this year.
