Fulham head coach Marco Silva has disclosed that his technical team has been working on Calvin Bassey's positioning in the opponent's penalty area following their victory over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

Bassey scored the winner as the Cottagers beat the Tricky Trees 2-1 at Craven Cottage on Saturday, February 15.

Former Arsenal man Emile Smith-Rowe gave the home side the lead in the 15th minute before Chris Wood equalized for the away side in the 37th minute.

Super Eagles defender Bassey grabbed the winning goal in the 62nd minute as Marco Silva's side recorded an impressive victory against the high-flying Nuno Espirito Santo's side.

Sharing his thoughts on the goal, Silva disclosed that the dressing room was pleased with Calvin Bassey's winner.

“The players’ celebration showed how much they appreciate Calvin. It was his first goal for the club, and he’s a very popular figure in the dressing room.

“We’ve been working on his positioning in the box, and it was great to see him finally score.”
