Nigerian international Christiantus Uche is making waves in the Spanish La Liga with a flurry of impressive performances for the Madrid-based Getafe side.

The 21-year-old has been voted into the La Liga Team of the Month for January alongside some of the most talented stars in the modern game.

Uche registered four goal involvements in the month under review, which earned him special recognition among the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham.

The Super Eagles prospect was joined by Getafe teammate David Soria, who was named the best goalkeeper in January.

According to Whoscored.com, the best four defenders in La Liga last month were the back four of Matija Nastasić (Leganés), Abdul Mumin (Rayo Vallecano), Sergi Cardona (Villarreal), and Nahuel Tenaglia (Deportivo Alaves).

Real Madrid's trio of Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, and Dani Ceballos paired with Sevilla's Dodi Lukébakio in midfield.

Christiantus Uche and Kylian Mbappe completed the best eleven upfront.
