UCL: Lookman named Man of the Match as Atalanta lose to Real Madrid

Nigeria's Ademola Lookman produced a remarkable performance in Atalanta's defeat to Real Madrid, with his individual display making for sensational viewing.

The 27-year-old was on target as Los Blancos beat the Serie A leaders 3-2 in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.

Lookman scored the last goal of the game from a brilliant individual effort, beating Real Madrid's goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois at his near post.

The highly entertaining game between the UCL title holders and the Europa League winners saw Kylian Mbappe give Carlo Ancelotti's side an early lead in the 10th minute before Charles De Ketelaere equalized from the spot on the stroke of halftime.

Vinicius Junior restored Real Madrid's lead in the 55th minute before Jude Bellingham added another three minutes later.

Lookman reduced the deficit in the 65th minute as the record title holders held on to secure a crucial victory to keep their hopes of securing automatic qualification to the next round alive.

Despite the defeat, Lookman was adjudged the Man of the Match following his exceptional performance in the game.

The Nigerian international was a constant threat to the Real defense for the entirety of the game.
