Reigning African Footballer of the Year Ademola Lookman made history on Tuesday night after coming on as a substitute at the interval to score in Atalanta's 3-1 home loss to Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 playoff.
The 27-year-old pulled a goal back for La Dea, who were trailing 3-0, just 40 seconds after coming on as a substitute to become the only Nigerian international to score in four consecutive UEFA Champions League matches.
It was the 5th UCL goal for the Super Eagles star in seven appearances for Gian Piero Gasperini's side this season.
Lookman scored in consecutive matches against Stuttgart, Real Madrid, Sturm Graz, and Club Brugge.
However, his effort was not enough as Atalanta crashed out of the competition 5-2 on aggregate, having lost 2-1 in the first leg in Belgium.
The Nigerian international could have added to his goal tally but saw his 61st-minute penalty saved by Club Brugge goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
