England international Declan Rice grabbed the headlines with two superb free-kick goals, with makeshift number nine Mikel Merino adding the cherry on top to give the Gunners a healthy lead heading into the second leg.

In Munich, Inter Milan stunned Bayern Munich 2-1 courtesy of goals from Lautaro Martinez and Davide Frattesi.

Thomas Müller came off the bench to score the Bavarians' only goal of the game as Vincent Kompany's side lost the first leg at home.

The second leg of these two ties will take place on Wednesday, April 16.
