Former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi has urged Chelsea to consider signing Jaden Sancho from Manchester United.

Sancho is yet to feature in a competitive game for the Red Devils since returning from his loan deal at Borussia Dortmund last season.

With three days left before the transfer window to closes, there are widespread rumours of Chelsea and Man United considering a potential swap deal involving Sancho and Raheem Sterling.

Speaking on his ObiOne podcast, the former Chelsea midfielder admitted that he would be very happy to see Sancho move to Stamford Bridge, despite Chelsea being strong on the wings.

"If we can get him [Jaden Sancho] through the door at Chelsea, I’d be very, very happy. He’s a fantastic player.

"I think on that side of the pitch, we’re very strong. But listen, if we can get a player like Jadon, of course, you’d be happy to have him. If that happens, I’d be very happy.”
