Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho is open to a possible return to Sevilla after completing his loan move to Middlesbrough on transfer deadline day.

The 28-year-old joined the Sky Bet Championship side on a six-month loan deal for the remainder of the 2024/2025 campaign.

The Super Eagles forward moved to the Teessiders due to a lack of playing time at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Iheanacho made just 11 appearances for the Rojiblancos across all competitions, scoring three goals.

Sharing his thoughts on the move, the former Manchester City man described Sevilla as a great club he would be happy to return to.

“Obviously, it’s good to leave (England). To feel like I’m in a different environment. It’s a good atmosphere there,” he told Middlesbrough’s official website.

“It’s a great club. I’ve loved my experience there. Sevilla is a great team. I’ll always be happy to go back there. I’m here now. I’m focused on what I can achieve here.”
