Serie A giants AC Milan have reportedly rejected Real Betis' transfer bid for Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze.

According to Italian news outlet Gazzetta, the Spanish La Liga outfit wanted the Super Eagles winger on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Seville-based club is expected to propose another offer for the 25-year-old.

Chukwueze has failed to meet expectations since joining Rossoneri from Villarreal in the summer of 2023.

The ex-Villarreal man has struggled to secure regular playing minutes at San Siro, often serving as second fiddle behind former Chelsea star Christian Pulisic.

According to Sportitalia via Sportmediaset, new Milan manager Sergio Conceicao will not oppose Chukwueze's departure this month.

Chukwueze has also been linked with a move to Aston Villa in the Premier League.
