'There's life after football' — Taribo West counsels Osimhen after outburst against Finidi George

Legendary Super Eagles defender Taribo West has offered words of wisdom to Victor Osimhen following his recent social media outburst against Finidi George.

The Napoli talisman has been in the news for all the wrong reasons after he lashed out at the erstwhile Super Eagles head coach for reportedly questioning his commitment to the national team.

Finidi George resigned from his role as head coach of the Super Eagles on Saturday, June 15, following the NFF's decision to hire a foreign technical adviser for the team — a move which displeased the former Enyimba coach.

Osimhen criticized the former international following his resignation, alleging that the coach claimed he faked injury to miss the Super Eagles' World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic — a report which turns out to be false and misleading.

West, who is arguably one of Nigeria's greatest defenders of all time, has advised Osimhen to keep his cool, reminding him that there is more to life than football.

"He should keep a cool head; there is life after football,” the ex-footballer-turned-pastor advised.
