'The boss never forgives' — Patrice Evra responds to Mikel Obi's claim that Ferguson has forgiven him

Patrice Evra has responded to John Mikel Obi's recent claim that Sir Alex Ferguson has forgiven him for snubbing Manchester United for Chelsea in a controversial transfer saga back in 2006.

The former Manchester United defender responded to Obi’s comment stating that the retired manager never forgives.

Taking to the comment section on Mikel Obi's Instagram post after meeting with Ferguson at Wembley last weekend, Evra humorously wrote: "The boss never forgive."

Mikel was one of the best young football talents in the world following the 2005 Under-17 FIFA World Cup with Nigeria.

The young prospect appeared to have been signed by the Red Devils from the Norwegian club Lyn Oslo, with a deal subsequently announced.

Mikel's highly publicized transfer to Manchester United was abruptly called off after Chelsea hijacked the deal, despite a press conference and photos of him in a United jersey.

Mikel later revealed that he felt coerced into the move, leading to the dramatic collapse of the transfer.
