Nigerian international, Odion Ighalo's expected extension with Manchester United is at a standstill with both clubs yet to reach an agreement.

Odion joined United last January transfer on a six-month loan which is said to expire on June 1 from his Shanghai Shenhua.

While the Red Devils were hoping Ighalo could stay for another three months (till the end of the 2019/20 season), the Daily Mail says Shenhua have no interest in completing such a deal.

It is also reported that a permanent deal has not been discussed.

The Chinese Super League club are preparing to offer the Nigerian a two-year contract extension on improved terms of £400,000 a week.
