Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has revealed that he understands Eric Chelle's objectives as the new Super Eagles head coach following their interactions.
The Super Eagles are set to resume their FIFA World Cup campaign next week, starting with a clash against Rwanda on Friday, March 21, at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
The 2023 AFCON finalists will then face Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Tuesday, March 25.
These two World Cup qualifiers will mark Eric Chelle's first tests since his appointment as head coach in January.
Discussing the prospect of meeting the new gaffer for the first time, Osimhen expressed confidence in the 47-year-old's vision.
“I’ve spoken to him a couple of times and clearly understand the objectives he has set for himself and for the players,” Osimhen told BBC Sports Africa.
“It takes more than a coach to win football matches. Players must also be at their best, show commitment, and bear in mind that we can all fly together to reach our goal,” added the Galatasaray striker.
