Super Eagles Star scores incredible goal as fight to escape relegation continues for his club in EPL

Super Eagles attacking midfielder Alex Iwobi on Monday night, 1 May, scored an incredible goal for Everton in their Premier League tough encounter against Leicester City which ended in a 2-2 draw.

These two teams have so far this season been battling against relegation and they both knew before kickoff that a win would help them in their fight to escape the drop at the end of the term.

Playing in front of their fans, the Foxes started the match impressively and waited for only for two minutes to get their first chance, but was missed by Vardy.

According to the report on Naija Footballer, Calvert-Lewin scored the first goal for Everton in the 15th minute via a penalty sending the home fans into total silence.

But seven minutes later, Soyuncu restored parity for the hosts before Vardy gave them the lead in the 33rd minute.

Fans of Foxes were expecting their team to record a win in the encounter before Iwobi scored for the visitors in the 54th minute and the match ended 2-2.

Everton still in relegation zone

Despite the draw gotten, Iwobi and his teammates are still in the drop zone with four games to end the ongoing campaign in the English topflight.

After the encounter, Iwobi took to his official Twitter page to thank fans for their support claiming that they will continue their fight to escape.
