Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race to sign Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze in the summer from AC Milan.
Ange Postecoglou's side has been badly hit by injuries this season, with six of their first-team players on the sidelines.
Spurs have lost eight of their last 14 games across all competitions, as Postecoglou has been forced to rely on youth players.
The London club were expected to make key signings to complement their current squad but could only secure the signatures of Mathys Tel and Antonin Kinsky from Bayern Munich and Slavia Prague, respectively.
Last Word on Spurs, however, reports that Tottenham wanted to sign either Jamie Gittens or Chukwueze last month, but the deal didn't materialize.
The London club will explore the possibility of signing the former Villarreal man in the summer.
Chukwueze, who has had limited playing time since joining Milan in the summer of 2023, has also attracted interest from Fulham and Aston Villa.
