AC Milan boss Paulo Fonseca has praised Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze for his defensive contributions to the team.
Chukwueze came off the bench in the Rossoneri's 3-0 victory over Empoli at the San Siro on Sunday, December 1.
Tijani Reijnders scored a brace, with Alvaro Morata adding another to seal a convincing victory for Milan.
US international Yunus Musah started the game on the right wing, with the Super Eagles winger coming on in the 75th minute.
Speaking after the game, Fonseca hailed Chukwueze for his defensive work in the last quarter of the game.
“I’m really enjoying Musah there. Empoli played a lot of long balls, and it was important to have this role to help the team," Fonseca said in a post-match interview.
“I was also very pleased with the way Chukwueze played this role, coming back into the box twice to play fifth. This module gives us balance,” he added.
