Rivers United end five-game winless run

In Uyo, Akwa United finally got a win after four games as they beat Enyimba 2-1. Olayemi Ogunleye and Uche Sabastine scored for the hosts while Issah Mohammed’s goal wasn’t enough for the visitors. Akwa United are still in the relegation zone with 23 points.

Abia Warriors thrashed Sunshine Stars 3-0 in Umuahia and pushed the Akure club into the drop zone. Iwundu Chidozie’s own goal set the tone before Antoine Ijoma and Samuel Ogunjimi sealed the win.

Ikorodu City came from behind to beat Kwara United 2-1 in Lagos. Junior Aimufua scored for the visitors but Toyeeb Ajeyigbe equalized before Shola Adelani scored the winner in the 64th minute.
