The Nigerian national women's basketball team, D'Tigress, has officially qualified for the 2020 Olympics tournament in Tokyo.

D'Tigress lost 64-70 points to host-Serbia in their second Group A match at the ongoing FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament, the Nigerians still made it through to the main event.

Mozambique were dealt a heavy qualification blow after being schooled the reigning world champions- US, who thrashed them 124-49 points.

Mozambique will face host nation-Serbia for an all-important battle on Sunday, February 10.

Nigeria's final group match will be against the current world champions - USA. A win will be a boost for D'Tigress ahead of the tournament but a loss will not have any effect on their qualification for the 2020 Olympics.
