Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. has shared his first reaction after losing the 2024 Ballon d'Or award to Manchester City's Rodrigo Cascante.

The entire Real Madrid entourage, led by club President Florentino Perez, boycotted the Ballon d'Or awards ceremony after it emerged that their star player was not going to win the coveted prize.

The outcome of the awards has generated widespread controversy on social media, with many believing the Brazilian deserved the prestigious trophy ahead of the Spaniard.

In the wake of the debate, the 24-year-old has taken to social media to vow to challenge for the award again.

In a post on X, the Real Madrid star wrote, "I’ll do it 10x if I have to. They’re not ready."

Vinicius guided Real Madrid to win the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, UEFA Super Cup, and the Spanish Super Cup.

However, he couldn't replicate the same feat for Brazil at the 2024 Copa America in the United States as the Seleção crashed out in the quarterfinal after losing to Uruguay in the shootouts.
