Moses Simon is having his best campaign in Europe to date, leading all Nigerian players with assists for the 2024/25 season.
The Nantes left winger has picked up eight assists and seven goals, the highest goal contribution by him so far.
Simon scored again on Sunday in Nantes' 3-2 defeat to Le Havre. He also assisted in creating the winning goal before the interval in their 1-0 victory over Lille. His eight assists put him ahead of other Nigerian players playing overseas, with Ademola Lookman (five) and Alex Iwobi (four) trailing behind.
Now in his sixth season with Nantes, the 29-year-old has been a talisman for the side. He has been directly responsible for 49% of their 31 Ligue 1 goals so far this season. His personal record prior to that was in the 2021/22 season when he scored six goals and made eight assists.
Last season, a March injury set him back, and he could only muster three goals and five assists in 22 league matches. But this season, he's back to his old self. With seven games left in the season, Simon still has time to increase his numbers even further.
