Argentina megastar Lionel Messi scored his first goal of 2025, helping Inter Miami secure a 1-0 victory over Kansas City in the Concacaf Champions Cup first leg tie at Children’s Mercy Park.

The 37-year-old netted the only goal in the 56th minute, marking his first official game of the year.

The match was played under harsh weather conditions, with temperatures ranging between -9° to -17°, making it the coldest game in MLS history.
