Reports from Italy indicate that Serie A giants Juventus are eyeing Victor Osimhen to boost their attack next season.
According to Rai Sports’ football chief Paolo Paganini, the Old Lady of Turin has lost confidence in their attacking star, Dusan Vlahovic and now sees Osimhen as a potential replacement.
Paganini revealed that Juventus do not consider Vlahovic to be at the same level as other top strikers in the Italian top flight, like Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez or Osimhen during his time at Napoli, Punch Extra reports.
“Juventus don’t have a top-level first striker,” Paganini stated.
“There are two names for Juventus’ attack. One is Jonathan David, the Lille center forward, Canadian, so there is also the slot for non-EU players; his contract expires in 2025.
“The other is Osimhen because it is true that he has the clause, but the relationships between Osimhen, his agent, and (Juve chief Cristiano) Giuntoli are very strong, so be careful because this summer there could be a sensational return.”
Osimhen has met the expectations of many since he joined Turkish giants Galatasaray on loan from Napoli last month.
He has created crucial assists in two appearances in the Super Liga and was instrumental as Galatasaray defeated Fenerbahce by three goals to one in last Saturday's derby.
