It’s a big honour to play for Nigeria — Aina

Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has expressed his delight in featuring for the Super Eagles, calling it a great honour.

Aina, who has been in remarkable form for Forest this season, is expected to be in action when the Tricky Trees take on Liverpool in the Premier League on Tuesday, January 14.

Speaking in an interview with NBC, the 28-year-old noted that it gives him great joy every time he puts on the Super Eagles shirt.

“It means a lot. It’s a big honour to play for the Super Eagles. Every time I put the jersey or t-shirt on, it’s a great feeling — one that can’t really be matched.

“It’s really nice. I love playing for Nigeria, and hopefully, I can keep on playing for Nigeria for many more years.

“It’s actually going to Nigeria and playing there in front of the fans. It’s fun and I really enjoy it.”
