Despite recording a resounding victory over New Zealand, Head Coach of Super Falcons, Randy Waldrum believes his team is not a finished article.
The nine-time African champions recorded their third win in a row with a comprehensive 3-0 thrashing of New Zealand at Emir Sport Stadium in Turkey on Tuesday, April 11.
Goals from Onome Ebi, Jennifer Echegini, and Desire Oparanozie ensured that Nigeria wrapped up the Turkey exhibition tour in a scintillating fashion.
However, the American gaffer believes there is still more room for the team to improve heading into the 2023 FIFA World Cup
Randy Waldrum disclosed this in a post-match reaction with NFF TV.
“I would give the team a B, we got the three goals, we got the clean sheet so I guess maybe I’m a little harsh with that grade,” he said.
“But there are still many things that we can work and improve on, but I think we’ll get there.
“I think these last two camps we’ve been good. We’ve gotten better and better. This is what we needed going into the World Cup.”
The Turkey exhibition tour forms part of the team's preparation for the 2023 FIFA World Cup which kicks off between July 20 and August 20.
Nigeria will face co-hosts, Australia, the Republic of Ireland and Canada in Group B.
