Nigerian international Taiwo Awoniyi has disclosed that he will not be leaving Nottingham Forest.
The former Union Berlin striker has struggled to secure playing time this season under Nuno Espirito Santo.
The 27-year-old has managed 17 Premier League appearances, mostly coming on as a substitute.
The Super Eagles striker has fallen on the attacking pecking order to in-form Chris Wood, who has netted 14 goals in 22 Premier League games for the Tricky Trees.
There have been reports linking Awoniyi with a move away from the City Grounds due to lack of playing time, a rumor the player has debunked.
“Transfers are part of football, and there will always be speculation. But my focus is entirely on Nottingham Forest,” he told the club’s official website.
“This is a team with a lot of potential, and I want to be here to help achieve something special. I’m not thinking about leaving; I’m thinking about how I can contribute more to the success of this club.”
