Kevin Akpoguma has weighed in on the game between Hoffenheim and VFB Stuttgart which took place on Sunday.

According to him, Hoffenheim deserved to earn a share of the spoils in the Bundesliga clash after they held their hosts to a 1-1 draw.

Nick Woltemade gave Stuttgart the lead in the ninth minute before Gift Orban equalised for Hoffenheim 16 minutes from time.

“It was a deserved point. Stuttgart were better in the first half, but in the second half we had more passion and more energy. We earned the goal through good pressing.

“We even had a chance to win, but the draw is fine. We were asleep when they scored, we need to defend better. Stuttgart has enormous quality in attack,” Akpoguma said.

Hoffenheim will host Bochum in their next game on Saturday.
