Chippa United goalkeeper's trainer Sean Louw has disclosed that Stanley Nwabali will not be returning to the club.
Nwabali has become a subject of transfer speculation following his remarkable campaign at the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire.
The 28-year-old recorded four clean sheets, becoming the first Super Eagles goalkeeper to achieve this feat at the Nations Cup.
His performance guided José Peseiro's side to the finals of the tournament, where Nigeria lost 2-1 to the hosts.
The former Enyimba shot stopper also had a decent campaign in the PSL, recording 12 clean sheets in 29 appearances in the league and the Nedbank Cup.
Louw believes the 28-year-old will not be returning to the Chilli Boys next season.
“On physical hard copy paper, I don’t know how many offers he has received, but verbally, he has around 10 or even 12 offers. He is definitely not coming back to Chippa next season,” Louw told FarPost.
“When [Nwabali] arrived at Chippa, he wasn’t very proficient with his footwork, unable to play from the back. However, he has improved his footwork significantly.”
The Nigerian international has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League and QPR.
