Nigerian fans have taken to social media to hail Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali as he turns 28 today, June 10, 2024.

The Chippa United shot-stopper has become the fans favorite following his standout campaign at the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire.

Nwabali made history by becoming the first Nigerian goalkeeper to record four clean sheets at a single Nations Cup tournament.

The former Enyimba FC star appears to have cemented the Super Eagles' number one spot, which had become a major headache for coaches and fans alike after blunders from Maduka Okoye and Francis Uzoho during the 2021 AFCON and the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Tunisia and Ghana, respectively.

Taking to social media, the 28-year-old wrote: "Happy birthday to me. It’s always been a journey of belief and determination. I wish my very self all I have prayed for. Cheers to good life," Nwabali posted on his Instagram.
