Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi has demonstrated a great gesture of love this holiday season by opening a food shop where families in London can do Christmas shopping for free.
Dubbed Alexpress, the minimart is located in Canning Town, East London, where the former Arsenal midfielder was raised during his primary school years.
According to the Fulham star, families from the local community are welcome to take any food and drinks of their choice.
"We like to do something every Christmas to try and give back," Iwobi told the BBC.
"Here, we're creating my own 'Alexpress,' a little minimart to try and give out food to families that are not able to get food for their families for Christmas. If I can help them celebrate a great Christmas, why not?"
Iwobi has had an impressive start to his 2024/25 season with Fulham, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 17 Premier League appearances.
He also helped the Super Eagles reach the finals of the 2023 African Cup of Nations earlier this year.
