Getafe midfielder Christantus Uche is reportedly set to make Eric Chelle's initial 21-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Nigeria will resume their FIFA World Cup campaign against Rwanda on Friday, March 21 at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, before returning to Nigeria to take on Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium five days later.
According to Score Nigeria, the 21-year-old midfielder is set to be included in Eric Chelle's list of invited players following his impressive performance for Getafe in La Liga.
Chelle, who is on a European tour, will visit Spain to meet with the young midfielder who has mostly been deployed as a striker by head coach Jorge Bordalas.
The Malian tactician has already been to England and France to visit Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, and Moses Simon.
Uche has managed two goals and two assists for Getafe this season.
