Michael Oliseh has become the latest player of Nigerian descent to join German giants Bayern Munich after finalizing his move to the Allianz Arena on Sunday, July 7.
The 22-year-old joined the Bavarians from Crystal Palace in a deal worth £60 million including add ons, snubbing interests from Chelsea and Manchester United.
The French winger of Nigerian descent signed a five-year deal with Bayern which will see him remain at the club until 2029.
Olise was born in London to Nigerian father and French-Algerian mother. Despite being eligible to feature for Super Eagles as per FIFA regulations, Oliseh appears to be tilting towards the French national team.

David Alaba
Born in Austria to a Yoruba father and a Philippine mother, David Alaba features for the Austria national team.
Alaba joined Bayern Munich reserve team from Austria Vienna in 2009. He joined the first team a season later and went ahead to secure the left back position.
The 32-year-old is one of the most decorated defenders in history as he won 10 Bundesliga titles and two UEFA Champions League titles with Bayern Munich from 2010 to 2021.
Alaba joined Real Madrid in 2021 where and went ahead to win another UCL title and the La Liga with Carlo Ancellotti's side.
Jamal Musiala
Born in Germany to a Nigerian-British father and Polish-German mother, Musiala moved to England with his parents at the age of 7.
Musiala played at the Chelsea academy from 2011 to 2019. He left the Blues to join the Bavarians at the age of 16 in 2019.
He broke into the Bayern Munich's first team in the 2020-2021 season and has since been a consistent figure in the team. Musiala chose to represent the country of his birth at the international level.
Joshua Zirkee
Born in the Netherlands to a Nigerian mother and a Dutch father, Zirkee began his footballing journey at the tender age of five with VV Hekelingen.
An impressive spell with Feyenoord in the 2016-2017 season earned him a move to Bayern Munich junior team in 2017.
In 2019, Zirkee joined the Bayern Munich first team where he made a couple of appearances before he was sent on loan to Parma and Anderlecht before he was signed by Serie A side Bologna on a permanent deal in 2022.
His impressive campaign with Bologna has earned him a move to Manchester United this summer as per emerging reports.
