Super Eagles head coach Finidi George has come under enormous pressure following Nigeria's disappointing 2-1 loss to Benin Republic at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan on Monday, June 10.

Angry fans stormed the 53-year-old's social media pages to express their displeasure after the game, with many calling for his immediate dismissal after just two matches in charge.

The Squirrels, led by former Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr, staged a comeback to turn the game on its head after Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika gave Nigeria the lead in the 27th minute.

The Super Eagles have managed just 3 points out of a possible 12 after four matches in the qualifiers.

The three-time African champions are currently languishing in 5th place in Group C.
