A staunch Super Eagles fan has slammed Sevilla forward Kelechi Iheanacho for his lackluster showing in Nigeria's final African Cup of Nations qualifier encounter against Rwanda.
Nigeria suffered a shocking 2-1 defeat against the Wasps of Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Monday, November 18, after taking the lead courtesy of Samuel Chukwueze's brilliant solo effort.
Rwanda responded swiftly with two goals in quick succession from Ange Mutsinzi and Innocent Nshuti to secure their first-ever win against the three-time African champions.
It was Nigeria's first defeat in the qualifiers campaign, having already secured qualification for the next edition of the Nations Cup in Morocco.
Despite the encounter being a dead rubber, football-loving fans of Nigeria were disappointed with the Super Eagles' lackluster performance.
In a post-match reaction with Football Fans Tribe, a displeased fan slammed Kelechi Iheanacho in particular for his abysmal performance.
"This game really showed that this should be the last game for some players. If the coach can't take that decision, that means we are finished, he said.
"Kelechi Iheanacho is meant for the market, not for the pitch. He is meant to sell clothes, not to play ball."
