Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is set to miss Galatasaray's Europa League round of 16 first-leg clash against AZ Alkmaar on Thursday, February 13 (today) due to suspension.

The 26-year-old picked up his third yellow card in the competition during Galatasaray's 2-1 loss to Ajax at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam, ruling him out of the next encounter.

The Super Eagles star has been in impressive form since joining Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli last September following his failed move to Chelsea on transfer deadline day in the summer.

In the Europa League this season, the former Lille striker has netted five goals in six appearances for Okan Buruk's side.

Across all competitions, Osimhen has racked up 17 goals in 23 appearances, making him the mainstay in the Galatasaray attack this season.

New signing Alvaro Morata is expected to lead the lines for Galatasaray in the encounter at the AFAS Stadion.
