A brilliant second-half hat-trick from Ballon d'Or contender Vinicius Junior, along with goals from Antonio Rudiger and Lucas Vazquez, ensured that Dortmund's two first-half goals only counted as consolation.

However, the result came at a price as goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and forward Rodrygo sustained injuries during the game.

The duo is reportedly set to miss Real Madrid's crucial clash against rivals Barcelona this weekend.
