Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has been excluded from Galatasaray’s squad to face Rigas FS in the UEFA Europa League due to fitness concerns.

The 25-year-old was substituted at halftime during Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa in the Super Lig on Saturday, September 28.

The reigning African Footballer of the Year reportedly sustained a hamstring injury and will not make the trip to Latvia to face Rigas.

Despite coming off at halftime, Osimhen scored a brace in the first 28 minutes of the game to give his side a healthy lead.

The Super Eagles striker is also doubtful for Nigeria’s upcoming African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya on October 11 and 15.

Osimhen has so far contributed two goals and three assists in his first four games for Galatasaray.
