Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong has won the Greek Super League with PAOK Salonica following the club's 2-1 victory away at Aris on Sunday, May 19.

The victory in the Thessaloniki derby ensured that PAOK amassed 80 points, two more than AEK Athens who managed 78 points to finish as runners-up.

It was the club's fourth league triumph and the first major title at club level for the Super Eagles vice-captain.

Troost-Ekong recently returned to action after undergoing a surgery following the injury he sustained during the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

He made 10 league appearances for the newly crowned Greek champions.

In celebration of his achievement, Super Eagles teammates Moses Simon, Wilfred Ndidi, and former goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama congratulated him on social media.
