Chelsea star Cole Palmer has stated that he enjoys playing centrally under new boss Enzo Maresca.
The 22-year-old has been deployed in the number 10 role, which he believes has given him more opportunities to influence games.
The former Manchester City man told the Telegraph that the role suits his style of play, making him more effective.
“Playing centrally has given me more opportunities to influence the game,” he said.
“I enjoy being involved in the build-up and making key passes as well as scoring. It suits my style, and I think I can be even more effective there.”
The England international also spoke about his future at Stamford Bridge.
“Absolutely. Chelsea feels like home to me, and I’m excited about what we can achieve together. I’m fully committed to the club and its future.”
Palmer has maintained his impressive form from last season under new boss Enzo Maresca after registering six goals and five assists in eight Premier League appearances for the Blues this season.
