Canadian rapper, Drake has won a sum of $2.7million bet following Israel Adesanya's knocked out win.

On Sunday, April 9, Israel beat Alex Pereira at UFC 287 to reclaim the middleweight title.

Israel who is a Nigerian born, lost to Pereira last year, as Drake also lost $1.6million after backing Adesanya to win in that fight.

In a comeback, he defeated his rival in a knockout and made the rapper $2.7million richer when he tipped Israel to win the fight.

The Canadian rapper placed a $500,000 bet on Adesanya to win which earned him
$885,000, and a $400,000 bet to win by knockout, which in return earned him a whooping $1.8million.

Speaking about the bet, Israel said; "Shoutout to everyone that bet on me but you have to realise that when I step into the octagon I put my life on the line. That's the biggest parlay you can ever do. I'm a betting man too so shoutout to stake, we are about to make another deal and get more money."
