Top-tier football returns to Europe with the German Bundesliga today, 16 May 2020 with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Wolfsburg and Schalke, set to play after months out.
Recall that footballing activities were halted in March as a result of the effect of the coronavirus pandemic that has infected over 4.6million persons across the globe.
As it stands, all of the 18 teams in the league but two have played a total of 25 matches each before the suspension of the league and with the resumption, there are eight matchdays left to complete the standard 34 matchdays.
There are about 73 matches left to complete the 2019/20 Bundesliga season.
Bayern lead the table with 55 points, Dortmund follow with 51 points while RB Leipzig and Mönchengladbach are three and fourth with 50 and 49 points respectively.
