Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers has been named in the Europa League Team of the Week for the first leg of the round of 16.

The 30-year-old produced a remarkable performance for Rangers as the Scottish giants stunned José Mourinho's side with a 3-1 victory at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium in Istanbul.

Dessers scored and provided an assist as the Gers cruised to an impressive victory away in Turkey.

The Super Eagles star also had two goals disallowed for offside in the second half.

Dessers opened the scoring in the 5th minute before Ghanaian international Alexander Djiku equalized at the half-hour mark.

Vaclav Černý restored Rangers' lead in the 42nd minute before sealing the victory with nine minutes left to play.

Dessers has so far racked up 22 goals across all competitions for the Gers this season.
