The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has postponed the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.

According to CAF, the biennial competition, initially scheduled to be held between February 1 and February 28, 2025, will now take place in August.

CAF, however, did not announce the precise new date for the tournament.

The decision was made to ensure that the infrastructure and facilities are at the necessary levels for hosting a successful tournament.

The tournament will be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Meanwhile, the draw for the competition will happen as scheduled on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre, Nairobi, Kenya.
