Bundesliga title holders Bayer Leverkusen have opened an investigation into a video showing Victor Boniface on his phone while driving.
The incident comes just over a month after the player was involved in a ghastly accident in Germany following Leverkusen's league clash against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Video footage showed the 23-year-old using his cellphone while driving in the main streets, leaving the Leverkusen officials perturbed.
According to Bild, the club will hold crunch talks with the Super Eagles star to sensitize him on his actions.
In a statement, the club wrote:
"We are looking into the matter and checking it out. If the incident is confirmed, we will, of course, talk to Victor about it as soon as possible.
"After all, he's not just a role model - it's fundamentally about not endangering himself or other people on the road."
